The COVID-19 pandemic brought about a range of interventions, and one of the most contentious was the implementation of stay-at-home orders in the United States. These orders, enforced in all 51 states and territories between March 7 and June 30, 2020, significantly impacted the daily lives of individuals and communities. They also coincided with a surge in the use of web-based social networking sites, particularly Twitter.
