The 19th semi-annual IAB meeting of the NSF Spatiotemporal Innovation Center took place in a hybrid fashion on June 7th-8th, 2023, at Harvard University. The event had approximately 50 participants representing a diverse range of people interested in geospatial and spatiotemporal research. The meeting aimed to review the center’s ongoing research projects, identify new initiatives, and facilitate collaborations among academia, agency and industry.

As a hub for foundational and innovative research, the NSF Spatiotemporal Innovation Center plays a vital role in advancing spatiotemporal thinking, computing, and applications. Throughout the two-day event, attendees had the opportunity to delve into the center’s 13 innovative research projects/proposals. The presentations showcased the significant progress made and the presenters shared research findings freely among members.

The meeting provided an opportunity for potential new sites to present their site strengths and potential projects. The selection of new projects aimed to expand the center’s research portfolio and drive innovation. The meeting was an overall success on reporting latest research results, exchanging ideas, and planning for the next steps.
