The I\/UCRC for Spatiotemporal Thinking, Computing and Applications (a.k.a. NSF Spatiotemporal Innovation Center) is hosting a workshop at University of Washington – Seattle to define the research roadmap for spatiotemporal studies in the next 5-10 years. Domain leaders from academia, industry and agencies are invited to share their successful stories, and challenging practices to help inform the research agenda considering the latest revolution and advancements of science and technology. This meeting will review the domain\u2019s innovative research and identify new research directions through collaborations among academia, industry, and agencies, with the following questions to be addressed:<\/p>\n

  1. What\u2019s the research that excites you most that have a spatiotemporal computing dimension?<\/li>\n
  2. How spatiotemporal computing intertwined with your focus of study?<\/li>\n
  3. Do you see any noticeable advancement (theoretical, tools, services, solutions, education, etc.) of spatiotemporal computing in the past decade?<\/li>\n
  4. What are the cutting-edge topics of spatiotemporal studies and big data & cloud computing?<\/li>\n
  5. How spatiotemporal computing may contribute to the advancement of latest tech advancements, such as digital twins, metaverse, driverless cars, network and mobility, GeoAI, block chain, smart cities, etc?<\/li>\n
  6. How spatiotemporal methods have helped advance solutions for challenges to human kind?<\/li>\n
  7. How spatiotemporal computing intertwined with the latest advancements of studies in environment, climate change, natural disaster, public health, geospatial intelligence, transportation, etc.<\/li>\n
  8. How could spatiotemporal computing be more fair and explainable\u00a0to serve both private and public interests, especially the underrepresented groups?<\/li>\n
  9. What are the theoretical challenges?<\/li>\n
  10. What are the technological research and develop directions?<\/li>\n
